User's notes

This seed bug has a different pattern than other specimens and photos of D. Cephalotes I have seen. Is this normal variation, or a different species?

This little beetle seems to be a mimic of a species of velvet 'ant' (actually a wingless female wasp of the family Mutillidae) often seen on trunks of smooth-barked gum trees.
