A photo of the stem or base of the plant with at least two leaves including the tips would be very helpful in making an ID. I don’t think I have seen this plant before so I think this is a garden escape and the more information you provide the easier it is for the moderators to ID it.
Except for a few alpine species, all native buttercups in the CNM area have yellow petals rather than white. Which reinforces the idea that this is a garden escape.
