A follow up to sighting 4260636 providing additional detail of the damselfly. The third and fourth images show what I understand to be part of the damselfly’s respiratory system, an anterior thoracic spiracle valve. The valve is the circular yellow object with various folds across it, located behind the damselfly’s head, below the ocelli. The valve is partially open in the third image and closed in the fourth image.
