sorry Harvey- no idea why this happens sometimes - photo loads then doesn't get saved. have now added photo - pretty yellow dragonfly which took off up the hill before I could get any other shots. sandra

This looks like a mudeye, a dragonfly larvae. I think this is correct as on the map the sighting is in a dam, or possibly coming out of a dam.

Although the dorsal surface of abdominal segment 2 is not visible, and the fact that it is still in teneral colours and reflection on the thoracic segments makes thing more difficult, I think this is an Iota Ringtail. Let me look into it further.
