Hi Toni
It is not easy to say what this grass is from the photo.
Why are you so confident it is Dichelachne micrantha?
   4 Jun 2020
Not Dichelachne micrantha. The awns are too robust and long. To ID grasses we really need a good photo of the seed-head, when it is fresh.

Sorry Michael have had a busy few weeks with lots of visitors. So much for our isolation. I am never confident identifying any grass. I will seed if I can still get a picture of a fresh seed head.

Hi Toni
I'm curious about your 2nd comment yesterday about additional information, without there being any. Did you attempt to add another photo?

Thanks Michael we both commented that the seed looked like tall spear grass.
