I don’t think it is Hypochaeris. There are several genera of yellow daisies in the CNM area that all look much the same. With all the undergrowth, I know it is difficult to find the basal leaves, but side on as well as face on photos of a flower plus good photos of the leaves are necessary for ID. It is OK to move stuff away that is stopping you from getting a decent photo, within the limits of not having a collecting permit.
