Thanks EPIC - is the location accurate? This is the first ACT record of Glossy Black Cockatoos since 2014 on Canberra Nature Map and a first for the Callum Brae area either on CNM or within COG records very exciting
Can you also please change the abundance to 3 (or however many there were). Even if this is an estimate, it is a better observational record than an abundance range.
Sorry I'm only new to this site. I saw the 3 Glossy Black Cockatoos at the base of Mount Jerrabomberra. It was next to 'The Scar Recreational park' on Southbar road Qbn. Very close to car park. Thanks.
Its likely these birds are here because the fires wiped out so much of the sheoaks in more coastal areas and they are searching for food. Keep an eye out for them in other local areas with sheoaks.
