I initially thought this was Wahlenbergia capillaris because of the narrow leaves which apoeared to be alternating up the stems. However, Unidentified on 31 Mar 2020 Taken in the same area, with leaves opposite each other, is definitely stricta even though the leaves are narrow.
Thanks There are several Wahlenbergia plants in the same area but they appear to be different species as the flowers are different sizes and colours. Many of the plants are intermingled and several are in an area thick with what I think is African Love Grass. Michael Mulvaney had identified three different species of Wahlenbergia in section 58 some months back and I'm trying to record photographic evidence of all the different plants in the area which Michael identified as being a Red Gum Yellow Box Grassy Woodland due to the number of different plant species in the area. I'm hoping we can get the area formally recognised and protected. We are just starting a Park Care group in Sections 57 and 58 Hughes. I will try to find the particular plants again and get better photos.
