I suspect these are immature birds nest fungi, unfortunately we need mature fruit bodies to take the identification to genus.

Ken, I have uploaded a sighting with one maturing fruit body. See sighting 4252755. I didn't check for funiculus... I only read the CNM overview about birds nest fungi after I got back! Sandra

Thanks Sandra, the additional images of this in your additional sighting certainly help with the identification. I will leave it to Heino to confirm as he knows these better than me and may be able to take it to species.
