There are several Illidgea and Lichenaula species with wing patterns very similar and like this one. Illidgea are generally larger and with relatively broad wings compared to Lichenaula. This photo seems to be of a small moth with the narrower wings. Lichenaula onychodes is widespread in the southeast of the continent and has been recorded regularly on Black Mountain and the south coast (the site of this photo being half way inbetween).
