Can you confirm location was near Tadorna hide. I just have never seen the water low enough for Dotterels there.

Yes these were definitely taken from Tadorna hide. The pic of the Red Fox was also taken from Tadorna hide. The water is down quite a bit but still fairly deep in spots.

Hi Ryu, I'm not surprised. When I last visited the wetlands on 125 November most of the usual pelican perches at the Tadorna Hide were getting close to being over mud flats. I had already begun thinking that the 'refugees' from Kelly's swamp would end up along the creek here where there were now obvious mud flats, which is why I wasn't concerned about the rangers deciding NOT to pump water back into Kellys Swamp.

It must get deeper further along because I went to see the Great Crested Grebe further down the creek back in December and the water was still up almost to the edge (no mudflats).
