An historical sighting. The first image shows the position taken up by the insect when disturbed. Its head is to the left of the image. The fourth image shows the underside with the head to the right.
Being in Canberra it is probably Porrostoma, but I will leave it as Lycidae as I don't know enough about the larvae to be able to distinguish the genera.
