An unknown fern that looked considerably thicker than the common rock fern that was around in the same area.

Confirmed. C. austrotenuifolia are always best in shady conditions with plenty of overcanopy. They used to thrive in the P. radiata plantations on the easterly slopes of Mt Majura.
