Thanks Lisa - All the birds in this flock seem to be male (yellow face with red bib) - which suggests they may be feeding females on nests. Trackers on males in previous years indicated that males from pairs with nesting hollows in north-east Gungahlin visit the Macquarie area. Please let us know if you see any birds with leg tags.
Hi Michael. The one furthest left at the back was completely green, the others were yellow faced with red bib. I couldn’t see any with leg tags this time, I was so excited just to see them I didn’t want to scare them away by getting too close! I will keep an eye out in the future.
