Thelymitra pauciflora is usually self-pollinating and the flowers only open briefly on hot days, if at all. They do not rely on insects for pollination, although this may occur occasionally by chance. There are large numbers of these beetles around at the moment, and they seem to visit all sorts of flowers, but particularly the various yellow daisies that are abundant now.
