It is probably just be a Monomorium, but the first photo gives a suggestion of spines on the propodeum and the petiole. Could just be a fluke of the angle the photo is taken, but can't be sure. Cheers, Jon
I can't see any spines when I look at the originals but it gets very pixilated as they are so tiny. I have added the other two photos I had; cropped heavily and overexposed so you might be able to see the body shape better. I can always try and get better photos at some stage with my tripod. I am sure they will still be there! Cheers, Sandra
Thanks for taking a second look at the originals and adding the extra shots Sandra - I think the “spines” in the first photo are not really there and one of the extra photos adds more weight to the Monomorium case. Cheers, Jon
