At this time of year Rosenberg's Goannas have been coming out of their winter burrows to bask on sunny days, then returning. This seems more likely to be something else. I would not mind getting more details if there are any. Also it seems small lightly built and may be female (not seen often). My email is don.fletcher@emailme.com.au

Thanks Michael. I was going to say the same. Thanks Don for the info as well. We do have a few permanent residents, so I will ask my neighbours to continue keep an eye out for them and report any sighting to me, so I can pass them on. Cheers, Sandra
