User's notes

Sighted on a leaf in the recent rain and cold weather. It had a missing antenna and the rear of the head appeared to be damaged, back from its eyes.

Hi Tim, yes, she looks like she has had a hard time. This is a major, which is why the head is so big and chunky (full of muscles to power the jaws) and you can tell it is a Banded Sugar ant by the band of yellow at the front end of the abdomen (gaster) where it connects to the rest of the body.
