User's notes

A follow-up sighting to 4206125 and 4208230. The first image has been rotated 90 degrees clockwise to aid viewing of the parasite attached to the spider's leg. Sighting 4206125 appears to show the same spider with the same parasite on 7th April, almost a month ago. If this is the case, then it shows the Jumping spider has remained in this location (a bridge adjacent to ANBG's Red Centre) for almost a month. Territorial? The spider's behaviour was also bizarre. It kept throwing its legs forward and arching the front half of its body (4th and 5th images) as well as turning in circles. It eventually fell off the handrail into the bush below without using a silk thread. The final image also shows a second parasite on the opposite side to the first one. Maybe the spider was reacting to the parasites? Thanks to Marcus Leach for this sighting.
