User's notes

6 birds, with most starting on the ground. 2 birds on the ground were making a rasping, pleading sound. I did not see any interaction with them from the other birds. At least 2 birds sounded like they were squabbling, with another bird, often making a call in response. That bird was stripping bark from a tree. 1 bird appeared to have white patches near the yellow on the cheeks. The white patches appeared to have the shafts of the feathers obviously crossing them. A bird was eating something with a yellow flesh. The bird was holding it like a banana but the substance was too small to be that fruit. After a while the birds flew to a nearby tree where 1 took control of a shallow hollow. It occasionally called out or its beak would make a loud sound as it was dragged across the wood. 2 times another bird tried to dislodge the bird. After about 5 minutes the birds flew off to the west, where some of them were again in low trees. As I approached they flew further west.
