Are you sure this is Dysphania pumilio? Where are the leaves? I would like to see some leaves. Also it is an unusual bright green. Requires more investigation.

This looks like the specimen in Roy's sighting (4208293) which is definitely not Dysphania pumilio.

There are several species of Dysphania in SE NSW which have fruiting bodies like this. I think a specimen needs to be taken to the Botanic Gardens for a proper identification.
