A very active spider sighted on the handrail of a bridge. The final two images appear to show a parasite attached at the junction of the carapace and sternum. Thanks to Marcus Leach for the initial sighting.
A gravid female. Good shots! The parasite is interesting - probably some kind of mite. It is possible they are phoretic (just using the spider for transport) rather than parasitic.
