User's notes

This is a repeat record from 2018, suggesting again that regular watering can stimulate flowering. Looking at other images at this site, this record appears to be the earliest flowering in the Canberra district (late March-April is normal).

Certainly no sign of anything happening in this part of the world.

I wonder what happens to the timing of pollinators when plants are artificially watered.

Funny you should ask that, I have never seen a fertilized fruit, watered or not.

I counted around 6,500 rosettes in July 2017 (400 in the watered orchard) but flowers in the previous 10 years have been few and occasional in any of the colonies.
