With that venation I think it could be a Eucalyptus. I am assuming it was a tree.

that would only eat Hakea. Can Proteaceae be ruled out for the leaf that 4190816 is on?

Thanks Michael, for confirming the leaf as a Eucalyptus. The sighting was put up for the case moth, which seems to use bits of the leaf as "decoration" on its case, is it possible to re categorise it to case moth so that the moth moderators can have another look? Thanks heaps to all who have added information here.

It feeds on eucalypts, so I think Don's ID might be correct. The unusual habit is for young caterpillars.
