Hi Christine. I think Brushtails grow into their tails see https://pt-br.facebook.com/elgarvet/photos/this-little-brushtail-possum-baby-was-found-alone-on-the-ground-on-saturday-with/1674249649302577/ for a younger juvenile. The wildlife carer I delivered this one too indicated that in the same few days she had been given a couple of other juveniles also apparently abandoned. Her theory was food was scarce in the dry summer of 2017-18

Thanks Jack. Hadn't noticed it (sighting) was a year old. And I know many people aren't too fond of Possums, especially as there seem to be so many of them around. But I'm glad it went to a carer. C.

Christine and I just realised that the comment I uploaded with this siting was a private note FYi it reads “ Juvenile found early morning in our driveway cold non responsive but alive. Cranked the car heater up on drive to deliver to the animal rescue service and bub was then quite frisky coming out of the box “
