User's notes

Off-track, I stopped in a clear spot to scan the sky for raptors when this skink came round onto a piece of wood within a foot of where I was standing. It was under some dead grass so I waited. It then moved further along the wood to a clearer spot. I took this photo, then quietly began to skirt round for a clearer shot. When I looked back instead of the skink I saw a large brown snake (separate posting) gliding over the wood instead.
