I'm not good at eucalypts so will take some more photos. I took the photo to show how the native trees are being overwhelmed by pine wildings.

With the grey foliage and the white bark, I'd say it is likely to be red box, polyanthemos. I'm not seeing the map, but with all those pines I'm assuming maybe north of Queanbeyan? In which case polyanthemos is a good bet. Otherwise rubida is also possible. A close-up of foliage would sort it out.

Jackie, I have added photos of the leaves. This is on Isaacs Ridge which has 38ha remnant pine plantation and wildings spreading.
