Our Victorian colleges tell us that the nationally vulnerable Dianella amoena also occurs in our region. Key differences from Dianella longifolia are orange stamens like this specimen and small rectangular peg like growths on edge of leaf. When it flowers again it would be good if you could drop a specimen off at the CSIRO herbarium on Black Mountain. Until specimens can verify the presence of D. amoena we will continue to confirm them all as Dianella longifolia.

No problems Michael. Will do. We have quite a few different Dianellas, so will take photos and samples. I’ll start making a list of the plants we need to check in spring/summer!
