User's notes

Private property. No public access without permission. I found this photos amongst some others I had taken (no GPS on the photos), so the location is an estimate. It was along our creek line and on a south-west slope. If it could be Stiff woodruff, I can try and find it (and any others) and get some more detailed photos.

Asperula ambleia is quite woody on the older branches. It doesn't look like Asperula ambleia to me.

I have found another photo from 2016 that has a GPS location, so I will go and get some better photos. Anything I should look for?

That is a fair comparison. The older branches are woody and the younger ones stiff. The plants persist over winter. The ones I have seen were growing in rocky areas near the Murrumbidgee River. Try to get a photo of the whole plant as well as close-ups. It is a rare plant and is worth checking out.

I've had a closer look at the sighting (3383420) that you compared this one to. It didn't look like Asperula ambleia either so I've made another suggestion.
