User's notes

Appeared to be feeding on the scale where several predator beetles were previously seen (https://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sighting/3395071). The millipede passed right over the one beetle present (image 4).

ID by Dr Robert Mesibov, West Ulverstone, Tasmania.
Comments by a colleague, Penelope Mills from the University of Queensland:
"The scale insect is Cryptes baccatus, or the wattle tick scale. Another possible explanation could be that the millipede is feeding on the honeydew excreted by the female scale insects."

Hi Cath, would you mind putting in an extra sighting for the scales?
