Am I right in thinking there is a lot more of this around than in previous years? Or is it just that it is being seen in places not looked at before?

It is common in Mugga Mugga from the pond near Hindmarsh Drive and along the creek between Mugga Mugga and Isaacs Ridge but probably not such a heavy infestation this year. It is still present in other known sites. This dam site in Callum Brae is a new one for me.
I se from the description it is an environmental weed in Victoria. It used to be a noxious weed in the ACT, when it was called Inula graveolens (the list I am looking at is October 1941).
I think there are many daisies that should go back on the invasive species list.
