Very small yellow button with silvery leaves, in several locations in this area, has been in bloom through Dec-Jan. Thanks to Betty Donwood for identification.
Could you provide a link to the previous sighting if it is already on CNM. Otherwise please create a new sighting using the closeup with a link to this sighting. Click on canberra.naturemapr.org at the top of the page. That will bring up the sighting number. Then copy and paste. Betty
To other users. JackyF stated in a comment, now deleted, that there was a closeup taken at an earlier date. There were originally two photos attached to this sighting, this one (the closeup) and another one (now http://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sightings/Details/3389600) When I asked for a closeup, I assumed they meant a closeup of a single plant. In this case, the plant is very common locally, and there is nothing else like it. In nearly every other case, there are several similar plants possible for an ID. Contributors should routinely provide photos of a whole plant, a flower face on and side on showing a bit of stem, a couple of whole leaves on a stem, and fruit/seedcases if present. If the plant is not flowering, an ID is sometimes possible with only fruit/seedcases, occasionally without either.
