I'm suggesting Hemibola hemicalypta but Tachystola thiasota is similar also.

It's very difficult to separate a number of Oecophorinae that have light heads, dark thoraxes, yellow basal "half" of the forewing with a broad dark terminal band when the only information is from a photo taken vertically above. Other information like whether there is a dark costa above the yellow, the shape of the terminal band at top and bottom and even the presence or absence of a dark base to the forewing is disguised. I think this one is Heteroteucha dichroella as it has broader wings than Hemibela hemicylapta and the lighter centre of the terminal band matches better, but it is hard to be certain either way. Eulchria malacoptera (on CNM) and hemiphanes have the same basic pattern but narrower wings. The yellow on Merocroca automima (on CNM) partly wraps around the terminal band at top and bottom. The two photos referred to above show information best observed side-on.

Yes, thanks. I had ruled out M. automima, but there are clearly several spp. with a similar basic pattern. Will make sure to get side shots as well in the future.
