Update to posting of 19 November 2017. I've been watching the broken larvae casing, but not every day thinking it best to leave it alone. Just checked it a few moments ago with perfect timing. The metamorphosis is complete and when I took it outside to photograph I was blessed with being able to watch the beetle turn in the casing. I then videoed it emerging into the world and taking its first steps. An amazing experience. Now just have to wait for the other two unbroken casings.
