Following are quotes from David Albrecht at the ANBG herbarium: "The Poa is .. tricky. It would key to P.meionectes using PlantNET, based on the fine scabrous leaves and more or less glabrous lemmas. However Brendan Lepschi at CANB has some preliminary data to suggest that P.meionectes in the strict sense is not in the ACT. Your specimen certainly lacks the slightly swollen and thickened collar at the side of the junction of the leaf blade and sheath characteristic of most specimens of P.meionectes. We will retain your specimen and for the moment place it under Poa sp. until such a time that someone does some detailed morphological and molecular work on P.meionectes and allies. Sorry I can’t be more definitive." "In the past specimens such as yours from the ACT were called P.meionectes, however based on Brendan’s preliminary work these records were changed."
