Afraid not. The flower clusters are in panicles (branched) rather than racemes (unbranched) as occurs in floribunda.

Phyllodes have slight kink near gland locations. Other features seem consistent with Acacia adunca.

Your photo is OK. I have not got round to trying to ID it from scratch, which is difficult. Could you give me measurements for typical leaf length and width. Also whether the stalks of individual flower heads are hairy or not, and the colour of the hairs.

Typical leaf length is 9-10mm
Typical leaf width is 5-6mm
No hairs on individual flower heads.
I took an herbarium specimen of this wattle.

If you have taken it into the Botanic Gardens, they will be able to use characters not easily seen on a photo to get to the correct ID. I presume the leaf length should have been in cm, not mm.

I tried IDing from scratch, assuming it originated in NSW or Vic. Not much luck. Nothing that came up really fitted.

I haven't taken it to ANBG - it is at the corner of McNicoll and Poynton st.

I collected a specimen this morning (4 Oct 2017). The specimen is Acacia rubida, using 3 source keys to ID it. More information can be provided if needed. The racemes are actually simple, not branched, with this not being shown very clearly in the close-up photograph.
