This is a great record - it is Carlia tetradactyla (Southern Rainbow Skink). This might be the first record from Urambi Hills. I will check my records and let you know.
This is one I recorded from very close to Urambi Hills. Not technically within the nature reserve but very close, just on the other side of Tuggeranong Creek, closer to the town centre, so within Greenway.
Wil this is the second Canberra Nature Map record from the Greenway area, but including all records from the ACT Wildlief Atlas this is only the 37th ACT record - so an uncommon find
That is more records than i would have guessed! That western part of Canberra (Urambi, Taylor Cooleman etc) and the MRC corridor seems to be the stronghold for this species but your records may show otherwise.
Wil all ACT Wildlife Atlas records have been entered into Canberra Nature Map. You can see and interrogate this data by clicking on the Carlia tetradactyla name under identification history and then click on the view species distribution box on the right above the large photo. You can view records by clicking on them and you can use focus symbols to go in and out. Your comments re the ACT stronghold area are spot on.
