Did you notice what the trees are in the area? From the aerial view they don't look native, possibly all conifers if that is the case then what you have is likely to be Paxillus involutus (as the similar looking Paxillus vernalis doesn't appear to have been introduced to Australia).

This sighting is a couple of years old, but from memory the surrounding trees were conifers.

Like Ken, I agree that this is most likely to be Paxillus involutus, fairly common in the older Canberra suburbs where various northern hemisphere trees have long been well-established.
