There was almost nothing active (macroinvertebrate-wise) on this day following -7.5 degrees overnight, but I did see these flies at two locations, Gibraltar Falls and beside Paddys River at Tidbinbilla Road. Both times they were associated with rocks. The antenna/arista struck me as being very pronounced and prominent.
