This is ridiculous :)
I've never heard of a Buff-banded Rail in a tree! How high up was it?

Thanks guys, it was foraging in grass close to Dairy Road when I accidentally flushed it while approaching the bird hide and the cheeky sod flew over the concealment screen and into a tree by the hide (about 2 metres off the ground) and stared at me before walking down the branch and out of sight(!)
