User's notes

This is a group of 25 trees planted close together which are reputed to be yellow box but their form is not typically yellow box. The buds were taken from the canopy with a high pruner and seem to be a bit large. The nuts were from underneath the trees.

The bark low dowm on melliodora is extremely variable, from almost smooth to what you have here. This photo is from Vicflora. https://vicflora.rbg.vic.gov.au/flora/taxon/88981ca8-2834-4c0a-a06f-5b82401971c5#&gid=1&pid=2
