Planted in a patch of 'new' riparian area (not visible in current 'old' Google image) at edge of Lake Ginninderra near skateboard park.

It looks like a poor choice of species for landscaping in that location.
I've recently found some plantings at one of the new ponds at Coombs, and the grass is spreading along the banks. See:
