It is extremely difficult to tell Typha orientalis fro Typha domingensis in the hand, even with good measurements of leaf width and the distance between the male (thin) and female (spikes) on the flower stalk, and microscopic examination of individual flowers. Impossible from a photo.

Plants are in the drainage ditch at the end of Soward Way. It is the archery club carpark and next to the Hockey and Greenway Oval
