Steve it is hard to identify eucalyptus without pictures of the buds and gun nuts. However, I spoke to Greg Hayes who was the Murrumbidgee Ranger in 1978 and oversaw the euclypt plantings in the Greenway area at that time. He said that they only used species local to the ACT region which narrows down the possibilities.
