Also up at Mount Majura I found a particular gum tree where all the Christmas beetles were breeding on. It was covered with them, all in pairs (piggy backing each other etc).
I have been secretly working on the Android app, to try to get it over the line before end of year. It's now very very close, made lots of progress in the past 3 days.

This is a male; in this species they have a squared-off extension to the front of the head.
