User's notes

Black wasp(?) characteristically raises its long thin abdomen like an Ichneumon wasp. Mainly seen on Kunzea sp.(garden plant).

Thanks Roger. I have your excellent book and usually scan it for 'unknowns' before posting, but I neglected to this time. With 160 described species, no doubt many looking similar from a distance, I expect identifying to species would be difficult without a specimen in hand.Can the sexes be distingushed at a distance?
