User's notes

These very small flies(?) were clustered together on a flowering Bursaria spinosa (garden planted). They seem to have brown heads, black bodies and a distinctive single black spot at the tip of each wing. They were previously seen flying together above the Bursaria bush.

OK, thanks. Sepsidae sp. (Ant flies). Farrow (2016) p. 239. The 'wing flicking' behaviour was also seen.
