For identification to species level, a photo of a flower bud or of a flower showing the sepals that cup the flower is necessary. The sepals of Drosera peltata are hairy. Those of Drosera auriculata are hairless, sometimes fringed round the edge. Flower colour is not enough to tell thses two species apart. Drosera auriculata flowers are sometimes white.
