Guys, how confident are we that this is DEFINITELY a Calochilus? If so, then it's the only single known record for Mt Majura. So it's one that we should definitely keep an eye on in spring to properly confirm and get a full flower sighting of so that the timeline feature can link it back to this initial leaf/stem sighting.
Ok cool, I reckon we shouldn't confirm this species yet for Mt Majura until we have a positive ID. I just noticed "Calochilus sp." was showing up in the Mt Majura species list, but it's just because of this kind of uncertain sighting... Michael M any thoughts?
I think leave it as a possibility - ie let the record of a guess that it is Calochilus stand until it has been confirmed one way or the other by observing the plant when flowering. By leaving it as a record it alerts people to the possible existence and is a heads up for further checking
Peter, i wonder if you walk in the area whether you could have a look - but don't spend much time. Since conditions were very dry there's only a tiny chance ....
