Other ACT records for sugar gliders are either within nature reserves or in urban areas adjoining reserves. In contrast this record is well within the urban area, the only similar record is from nearby Araba st, Aranda. Perhaps the shift to native plantings within inner Belconnen has enabled sugar glider families to survive/move in?

Thanks Michael for confirming - it's a poor quality photo, sorry, taken on my phone while out walking the dog. Pretty rare sighting for me - almost exclusively Brushtails around here; but I've handled gliders before so was 100% on the ID.

Yes the strip is distinctive and a Squirrel Glider record is highly unlikely
